# DynApp / Dyner > Dyner (https://dynapp.io) is the catalog and host for DynApps: small web apps published as source plus a > runnable build. Every app runs as an installable PWA on its own origin and can use a local > DynApp agent for capabilities browsers lack (files, raw TCP/UDP to the LAN, processes). > This file tells a coding agent how to build and publish one with nothing but this address. ## Build a DynApp 1. Download the dynapp-developer skill (a single dependency-free Python 3 script plus docs): curl -fsSL https://dynapp.io/skill/dynapp.py -o dynapp.py curl -fsSL https://dynapp.io/skill/SKILL.md # the workflow; read it first Or everything at once: https://dynapp.io/skill/dynapp-developer.zip 2. Create a project from the official boilerplate (it embeds this same skill in .agents/): python3 dynapp.py create my-app --id my-app --name "My App" \ --description "What it does" --author "Your name" --tags productivity tools 3. Implement the app in src/, rebuild content/ (npm run build), declare every capability the app uses in app.json backendPermissions, then check it: python3 dynapp.py validate my-app python3 dynapp.py quality my-app 4. Publish (one-time browser sign-in; the credential is stored locally and never printed): python3 dynapp.py login python3 dynapp.py deploy my-app --message "What changed" The app is then live at https://-.dynapp.io/ and in the catalog. ## Start from an existing DynApp Every published DynApp is open source: anyone can modify it and fork it, and Dyner serves its code. Browse https://dynapp.io/api/v1/apps, then follow "Start from an existing DynApp (fork)" in https://dynapp.io/skill/SKILL.md to download an app's source, declare its origin, and publish your fork under your own account. ## References Read these before using any window.appShell API or declaring permissions: - https://dynapp.io/skill/references/app.schema.json - https://dynapp.io/skill/references/appshell-api.md - https://dynapp.io/skill/references/hosting.md - https://dynapp.io/skill/references/package-requirements.md - https://dynapp.io/skill/references/permissions.md - https://dynapp.io/skill/references/quality-and-legal.md - Skill index: https://dynapp.io/skill ## Catalog API (read-only, no auth) - https://dynapp.io/api/v1/apps - published apps - https://dynapp.io/api/v1/apps/{owner}/{app} - app details and latest revision (source and runnable URLs) - https://dynapp.io/api/v1/revisions/{revision}/source - a revision's source file list; published apps are open source and make good examples Boilerplate: amit-bet/dynapp-boilerplate (skill from boilerplate v0.1.49)
